Nature Series: The Jurassic Coast

The Jurassic Coast
This month's nature series was shot along the 95-mile-long Jurassic Coast - a section of the Dorset and Devon counties' coastline in southern England. It is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its exceptional rocks, fossils, and landforms.

Highlighting the newest additions to our Chain collection, the latest 886 Nature Series juxtaposes the high-shine finish of the Curb Chain against the organic hues of the iconic Jurassic Coast landscape. This is the only location on Earth where rocks from the Triassic, Jurassic, and Cretaceous Periods - which span 185 million years of Earth's history - can be seen together.

The Curb and Rope Chain bracelets from the 886 Core Collection are depicted here in our signature three alloys, echoing the natural structures found suspended in time at the UNESCO site.
The geology of the Jurassic Coast represents a tangible history of how continents have collided, how the tide has shaped our landscape, and illuminates the extraordinary creatures who have lived, died, and evolved over millions of years. This living history has been left behind in fossil form - a rich illustration of their remarkable story and our shared heritage.
