Warranty
886’s Lifetime Jewellery Warranty is a guarantee that the product has been produced in the highest quality standards and any possible defects in the original design or workmanship will be covered by the manufacturer for as long as there is an original receipt, in the situation where a receipt is not available it is up to the manufacturer’s discretion.
Please note, jewellery must be treated with care. Any accidental damage or scratches that falls into reasonable wear and tear over time does not qualify for our lifetime warranty. (For example, a ring bought a year ago cannot be returned due to scratches or dull in polish finish) Lost or stolen goods are also not covered by the Lifetime guarantee.
Personalised, custom, or engraved jewellery pieces are excluded from the lifetime warranty.
Limited edition and collaboration pieces are excluded from the lifetime warranty.
Replacement of secure earring backs are excluded from the lifetime warranty.
Replacement/Repair of chains is valid up to 1 year from purchase date.
Only chain items purchased from the 886 Burlington store’s chain bar are included in the warranty for in-store resizing and repair.
Resizing, replating, or cleaning services are not included in the Lifetime warranty. Details on how to care for your jewellery can be found on the 886 website under FAQs.
If you receive a defective item, this must be reported to us within 14 days of your marked delivery.
All postage for returns will be organised internally for the customer.
A claim through the lifetime warranty will either result in the jewellery being repaired and replaced. If the product is no longer available, the manufacturer might offer to replace it with an alternative one from its current range. If a repair means that the item needs to be re-hallmarked, we cannot guarantee the same year mark or celebration mark being used as on the original purchase.
To make a claim on the warranty you must have proof-of-purchase showing where (Instore or Online receipt) and who bought the goods and details of what the issue is. 886 Jewellery bought second hand is not entitled to apply for a claim through the Lifetime warranty. All decisions on the Lifetime warranty are subject to 886’s discretion and all decisions are final.
